During U.S. Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo's visit to Vienna, he inaugurated a U.S.-Austria Friendship Tram during a ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of the historic friendship between the United States of America and Austria. The Secretary was joined by U.S. Ambassador Trevor D. Traina and Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig as well as participants and alumni of U.S. Embassy Vienna’s Austria to Austin and Austria to Silicon Valley exchange programs. During the coming months, two ULF Friendship Trams wrapped in red, white, and blue will serve multiple tram lines showcasing seminal dates in U.S.-Austrian relations.
