Discussants:
Sebastian Fischer, born in 1982, grew up near Stuttgart. His family moved to Jena in Thuringia (formerly East Germany) in 1995, where he experienced the political und economic transition of the new federal states first hand. After graduation and military service he did an apprenticeship with a bank and is enrolled at the University of Innsbruck where he is majoring in Finance.
Simon Kegler, born in 1983, was born in West-Berlin and grew up in Berlin-Zehlendorf. He holds a BA in sports management from the University of Innsbruck and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at UNO and hopes to graduate in May 2011 with a Master in International Business.
Linhard Langenstein, born in 1984, grew up in Coburg a town 10 miles away of the former DDR border. He moved to Innsbruck in 2005 where he is studying Management/Economics and Psychology. Now he is enrolled as a management student at UNO.
Martin Lindenberger, born in 1982, grew up in Tyrol. He finished his political science study last year in Innsbruck and is enrolled as an economics student at UNO. From 2004 until 2010 he served as a member of the municipal council in city of Hall in Tirol.
Sara Ormes, born in 1987, grew up in Switzerland and moved to New Orleans in 2009, together with her husband Ryan. She started studying History at Zurich University and is now enrolled at UNO for History and French.
Tanja Supranowitz, born in 1983, grew up in East Germany. She has a J.D. in law from the Free University in (West) Berlin and is studying in the International Studies program at UNO (with a concentration on Diplomacy and International Organizations). She also serves as a student assistant for the International Summer School in Innsbruck in the Division of International Education.
