An economist by education and training, Professor Grisold is presently a Fulbright Visiting Professor with the UNO Department of Political Science. She has long been a friend of UNO and its International Summer School in Innsbruck, Austria. Prof. Grisold held the Marshall Plan Chair at University of New Orleans in 2003/04.

She has also been a Visiting Professor at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Her ‘home base’ is the University of Economics and Business in Vienna, Austria. Her research areas are Economic Policies of the European Union and Labor Market Issues on the one hand, the Political Economy of the Media on the other. She is a prolific author, including two books, original contributions in numerous journals and books, editor of five collective works, and numerous other academic and intellectual contributions and achievements.
