Gűnter Bischof is the Marshall Plan Professor of History and Director of Center Austria at UNO. During the past two years he has been involved in a multinational project with colleagues from Austria, Russia, Germany, France, Great Britain, and the United States on the Vienna Summit of 1961.
Dr Gűnter Bischof is co-editor of a commemorative volume of essays for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Vienna Summit to be presented in Vienna in May during a major conference at the Austrian Diplomatic Academy. A smaller conference on the same topic will gather at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University in late march of 2011 with the papers to be published in an English volume. CenterAustria is co-sponsor of both meetings. The Boltzmann Institute for the Study of the Consequences of War in Graz, Austria, is Coordinator of this Research project.
